Sometime people say things they don't mean out of anger. Figure out if he really felt that way, and if so then you did the right thing you deserve better than to be with someone who see you as just a charity case. Screw him. Go find someone who will like being with you because of all of your good qualities. That piss ant wasn't worth the title boyfriend.

Move on...you've already started taking the right course of action. Anybody who's with you out of pity is not a good person. Just know that you've got many years to live and there are other guys that will like you for you and not because of their conscience but their heart.

Hold your head up high and pat yourself on the back and then tell yourself good job. Any guy who would say that does not deserve someone like you. I say you made a good choice. I say find another bf that is better than the last cause you deserve better.

Why would he feel sorry for you? He probably told you that so you would break up with him because he really wants to go out with your best friend! You should have stayed with him so that you could make his life a living hell while he feels sorry for you!

Good for you! You did the right thing. I wouldn't want someone to be with me just because they felt sorry for me. I would want someone to be with me because they liked me for me.
