I'm not disfigured nor do I wear slutty clothes. In fact, I usually just wear jeans or slacks with a shirt--nothing special. But for some reason, wherever I go, guys continually stare at me. Even when I glance at them, they don't turn away. They just keep staring. It really is quite creepy...

If you ask a guy if he wants to go to dinner with you and he says that he can't because he has a lot of work to do, how do you know if he really has work or if he just doesn't want to go to dinner with you? i didn't want to pressure him so i just said, ok, maybe another night, rather than point out that he has to eat dinner anyway and suggest a quicker option rather than a more leisurely dinner.

I am the type you see who hides in the corner in every single get together. I have no idea how to talk to people at all. What am I supposed to say to someone i've never met before? Its impossible, everytime I try, I stutter and people can barely understand me, or I make excuses as to why I walked over and leave. How am I suppose to get over this behavour? How do I talk to people? I need help, i'm 15 and I cannot even start a conversation with anyone. Help me.

I used to work at a firm with several other people, one of whom was a 60 year old man. When I worked there, he was very nice and helpful. I learned a lot from him and he seemed truly sincere and caring. For real. He wasn't all lip service like some of my other fake co-workers. He was genuinely helpful and thoughtful. He has a high rank in the firm, is on the board of trustees of a major university and he also used to be a professor.
I had heard rumors about him being a pervert. Many women in the firm referred to him as "grandpa pedophile." His 34 year old secretary told me that he made a pass at her and asked her to go out to dinner with him when his wife was out of town. But I wasn't quick to label him a pervert because I truly believed in his kindness.
I left the firm last month. Last week, out of the blue, he emails me badgering me to meet up with him. Sketchy! EW! I'm 26. His sons are much older than me! Ever been disappointed by someone who was nice but ended up being a perv?

Let me tell you, I had THEE worst crush on my professor! Everyday after class I would fantasize about walking into his office with lingerie under my dress and well .... you get the picture. Dress on the floor, me on the desk etc etc. It was so bad, I was afraid to look at him in the eye, because I knew he would see how bad I wanted him. I was 23, he was 39 by the way. My question is, have you ever had a secret crush on a professor/teacher, and did you try to hide it or try to act on it???

I was just wondering about this recently and wonder what you all think.

One other thing I was wondering is; some people say that prenups aren't necessarily a sign of mistrust in the relationship. Some feel that it genuinely helps, and if the partner involved agrees with it, it means they really love their future husband or wife.

I think it's a sign of mistrust for this reason; with a prenup, if the couple feels that they may divorce in the future, then they don't trust that they will be fair with splitting the money, etc, with each other. Why marry someone that you feel may cut throat you after a divorce? That doesn't sound like trust. Shouldn't one marry someone they know would never do that to them because they really do love and care for them?

If not, shouldn't everyone just get long term girlfriend/boyfriends with preparations to trade spouses like trading cars after 10 or 15 years?
