She's had a lifelong history of issues....abandoned by her parents and rejected by her own son for the last 15 years. She's attemped suicide twice and my father never made her get help (I was out of the house when this happened). I told her after each attempt to get help and that I would go with her. She would tell me she went, but then my father would tell me she lied to me about it. She's 65 and always up and down emotionally. I don't know what to do anymore.

Ok my boyfriend and I had a vacation planned for Sunday - Tuesday. I was all excited about about this trip b/c we dont get to go very many places because my boyfrined really doent like going places because "we arent married" which is just his excuse. I asked him if he was absolutly sure we were going and I took off work for those days. He is notorious for letting me down and dissappointing me. I have took off work at least 4 times over the past year when we were "supposed" to go on a vacation and something (on his part) always came up were we couldnt go.
Well today he found out the wife of a childhood friend died and she will be at the funeral home sunday night. So again, we arent going on this vacation! Now, this "friend" of his is not really a friend any more. They never talk except maybe twice a year when my boyfriend goes into his friends business. The friend is pretty wealthy and actually snubbed my BF when he went away for college. Any my bf didnt know his wife at all

I left home at an early age of 16. left my hometown goodbye.
3 years later i return (and i should say theres was no contact with parents of friends)...... nothing is the same?!?!? it seems like everone and thier mothers have turned thier backs on me.

My fiance and I have been together for over 6 years. We love each other and want to spend the rest of our lives together the only thing is he hates my parents and doesn't want anything to do wtih them. Our families are very different--I was abused while growing up, it is true I was hit when I got in trouble and I was verbally abused. My parents also were not home much growing up because they worked a lot, in additon there was a lot of yelling that went on. I'm 23 years old now and although things are not perfect in my house things have gotten better. My parents are trying so hard to be "good"people they even went for counselling. My fiance says that my parents always let us down and he doesn't want anything to do with them and that if we get married he doesn't want to visit them or even let our children see them. I don't know what to do because I love my fiance but I also love my parents and I'm not going to give up on my parents that I love. People don't do a full 180 overnight.

I was suppose to go to the beach with a girl I like tomorrow. However, I got into a fight with her (it was my fault) and told her I wasn't going to take her. She knows I like her so I don't want to call and look like a chump. I really want to go with her but I think if I were to call her it would make me look real weak. I'm real with myself and I don't think this chick likes me like I like her, but we've hooked up before like 6 months ago and haven't since. I guess I'm still hoping for something to happen but, know that even if I go to the beach with her nothing will probably happen and I will be paying for gas (3hrs to the beach one way) and food and other crap.
