My friend and her friend (who I don't know) and me went out to Coldstone. Her friend, Peter, asked me to go to the beach with them. I said "I dont' want to intrude." He said, "You did when you came with us." (They invited me and I paid for their ice cream!) So i went home and IMed my friend and told her that her friend said that to me. She said, "You heard wrong." I said, "he said it to my face." She said, "Stop lying. If you don't want to go to the beach, just say so." So now she's mad at me. But it's not my fault. I didn't lie. now I'm pissed that she didn't believe me. What should I do?

She knows how I feel and she still tells me she loves and cares for me but she needs some "me" time. She has been in bad marriages and she tells me that no one has ever treated her or cared for her the way I do. But after this major event, nothing involving me, she doesn't want anything to do with me. We work together which makes this even doubly harder. She continues to lean on me and involves me in all of her personal and business life but by phone, mostly. Her daughters all adore me. I really Love this woman and her children and my life has been turned upside down for the past three months. What do I do?

My bf never wants to take me out. All he wants to do is drink, smoke, watch ESPN, and sleep. I'm tired I want to go out. I came to live with him from cali to ny (he's always been in ny) and after a year of living together I'm still a NYC tourist, I havent even seen 10 % of the major attractions.

This guy that's flirted with me before. But then was just really friendly. He gave me a lot of mixed signals. Maybe I gave him some I don't know. He's 25 and he seems so comfortable talking to women in their mid 40's. And befriending them. These women are also not at all attractive. I'm not saying I'm great looking. I'm 35 and just to me average looking. I don't want him to think I like him. Because maybe that scares him off. I just really want to be his friend. But if I talk to him he might get the wrong impression. He just sometimes seems so sad, and I wish he could talk to me like he talks to these others. How do I do it without him thinking I like him in another way? He obviously doesn't think these women would have any interest in him. But I think I've sent some signals and I do think he's cute. But I know it could never be that way. So I want him as a friend.
