Why is it that when a man (usually married) gets involved with a woman on his own choice and carries on an affair with her and acts like he likes her, but then he gets tired of her and dumps her and goes back to being the family man, that the woman is made to look like she is crazy and stuff. I hear about this often and there are movies made about it. It seems everyone takes up for the guy and thinks the woman is crazy just because she doesn't want to be thrown aside. Why did the man get involved with her to begin with? Does everyone really feel that it is ok for a man to carry on an affair with a woman and then just dump her when he wants to play the "good husband and family man". I think these guys get just what they deserve when the woman stocks them. This isn't something I have ever experienced but just something that I have always wondered about.

my sister has been with the same guy off and on for 15 years since she was 15 years old about 4 years ago she met a guy I think fell in love but went back with the other guy because he seemed to fall apart. He is a bad alcoholic and does seem to lose it when she walks but about once a year they go through the same issues over and over she says they no longer have relations or have many kind words they are just used to each other. the guy she had met was 6 years her jr and this guy was crazy about her and still is he has joined the marines and is contacting her telling her he is waiting on here forever she calls me and asks my advice she says on one hand she knows that the guy she is with will fall apart if she goes but her heart and sould are waiting with this other guy, she says she is scared to take the leap but I think with encourgament she would run to him and stay with him. But I'm not sure what to tell her what would you say if it was your sister

My father has always been tight since I was a youngster. I'm 17 and on the 2nd yr of college. My school is 30 km away from home, and I have to ride a 120-km/hr speeding jeepney just so I can go to school. There's no other transportation that offers slower pace than that unless I ride a motorcycle which is more dangerous!
There's a dormitory at our school but my father won't allow me either. He's too afraid something or someone might tempt me. Fearing the unexpected miracle of pregnancy, he prefers my hazardous travelling better.

How can I explain it to him that he should trust me; that I feel sloppy after arriving at school and can't concentrate on my studies well??
