you should have a dress code guideline available so all associate will be adhering to it. some of the new generation don't care how they dress as long as they are comfortable wearing it. but if it become a distraction to other is not a good sign. some worker should think ahead before putting them on. dresses or skirts requirements should have at least a minimum of length 1 inch below the knee with stocking at that. no shorts should be wear at all times, no tank top, no spaghetti straps, no jogging or sweat attire. it also reflect bad reputation to the business. each associate should think wearing proper clothes for the company and for others as well.
but now these days, they come in showing their belly button, thongs, no top undergarments. it don't look professional at all. i wonder who they work for and where is their etiquette regarding career wise?
you should enforce adhering to the guideline and no exception to the rule. you should make yourself a role model so others will look up into your clothing choice.

Tell her to stop wearing miniskirts or to sit in a chair when she files. I know that you can file stuff while sitting in a chair.
Do you want to be accused of sexual harrassment, that is where this is leading to.
If you like miniskirts so much, go out & buy one for you wife.
Your secretary should respect herself more. Shame on the both of you.

Isn't that every businessman's dream? And why are you complaining? You know the saying, it's okay to look long as you don't touch. I say enjoy the view but don't get handsy, she may be trying to set you up for a nice harrassment suit.
If it is actually bothering you, write up a dress code and leave it on her desk. That's how it works in our office. You dress too inappropriately, you get a flyer. Don't ask me how I know this. ;)

If you are the boss or the owner, you might want to think about a policy manual. In the manual you can have a section regarding dress codes. Pretty simple really.

yes, but make sure you have another female with you when you talk with her just as a precaution that she doesn't throw harassment at you. then explain that you can appreciate her sense of style however that her skirts are not office appropriate work attire and make you and others a little uncomfortable and that she needs to try to dress more appropriately while she is on the clock.

Quit looking and keep your mind on business, ya perv, or you might just be having sexual harassment charges filed against you. Women should be able to wear what they want to work without fear of crap like this.

I really like long dresses. My bf enjoys the brief ones. So my closet is stuffed w/ 1/2 and 1/2.
