I wonder if it's better to go to a library to find articles written by scientists about Global Climate Change.

In school our teacher gave us topics to debate. I knew a highly controversial topic was Global Warming, and I decided to oppose it. My argument for this project will be that Global Warming is natural, or that there isn't enough evidence to prove the existance that humans are causing Global Warming.. Anyone have websites or references I could use... I have quite the task on my hands..

Thank you!

I asked this question yesterday, but Y!A deleted it claiming that it was not a real question. Go figure.

So again I will ask, do you think the current global warming is part of a natural cycle?

Either way, please provide evidence to support your conclusion.

IMPORTANT NOTE: saying that the climate changed in the past naturally is not evidence that the current climate change is natural. We all know that the climate changed in the past without human intervention. That is a given, and does not say anything about the current warming.

The answer with the best supporting scientific evidence gets 'best answer'.

A large number of the "skeptics" are older meteorologists. They have no good explanation for the rise in temperature (which they admit to be true). They simply say it's impossible to predict climate.

They range from the very distinguished hurricane expert, William Gray, to a former TV weatherman. Since they know the weather cannot be predicted years in advance, they think climate is the same deal.

Arthur C. Clarke understands this situation well. Clarke's first law is:

"When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong."

The meteorologists just don't grasp that science could be different than their experience.

The all time classic example of Clarke's first law is a military expert, who famously said in 1945:

""The atomic bomb will never go off, and I speak as an expert in explosives."

Now scientist have tied divorce to global warming. Is there anything that DOESN'T cause global warming?

Watch the little leftist now try to get more gvmt regulations into marriage and divorce. After all, it's good for the planet, right?

Anything passes as science these days.

(this question is not intended as a political "statement" in any way)

Does Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" include any sort of bibliography?

Global climate change seems to be an issue that a lot of people are content to say "studies have shown" without telling us who did the studies, and where they are published, etc. I'm hoping that Gore's movie didn't fall victim to this, but I really don't remember.

This is not just an idea, a possible idea of what is happenning in the world, in our cities in our backyard. Let's do the right thing! Let's care about what is ours and what will be for our children. Some of us, yes, I know, I was one of them, think that, you know: I don't care about the Earth. Why should I care? I'm going to live my life as good as I can, because I got one life and I'm going to live it without a care in the world!... Well! And you should live in the way in which you want to live! But... There is one big BUT, because you know good, that it is not very hard thing to do, if you:
- Turn off the light in the room where you are not in it
- Do not leave the water flowing from the pipe while you are washing your teeth or not using it
- do not leave the garbage in the streets! Oh, come on people, it is not a big deal if you go to the container and leave it there
these are just the main things that you can do,little things that can change BIG things!I believe in you!Cheers!

Indonesia could lose 2,000 of its islands by 2030 if sea levels continue to rise. That's an alarming rate. Environment Minister Rachmat Witoelar said recently, "Tens of millions of people would have to move out of their homes. There is no way this will happen without conflict"

Just last week, tides burst through sea walls, cutting a key road to Jakarta's international airport until officials were able to reinforce coastal barricades. What can be done?

The following info kills the global warming theoy.
"So, British wine-making thrived during the Medieval Warming, failed during the Little Ice Age (1300 to 1850), and began to make a comeback in the 1950s, after major world temperature surges between 1850–70 and 1920–40. The uncertain quality of today’s British wine grapes indicates that Britain still isn’t as warm now as during the Roman and Medieval Warmings. "
