Global Warming?

Question

In school our teacher gave us topics to debate. I knew a highly controversial topic was Global Warming, and I decided to oppose it. My argument for this project will be that Global Warming is natural, or that there isn't enough evidence to prove the existance that humans are causing Global Warming.. Anyone have websites or references I could use... I have quite the task on my hands..

Global warming is a Religion you have to have a lot of faith to believe in that crap. Wasn't it global cooling 20 years ago? GLOBAL WARMING IS HUMANITIES GREATEST LIE!!!

Most of the socalled scientest that signed the UN report, did not agree that man made global warming is real, but there names were added anyway. This includes the Chairman of the IAEA. Global warming is an industry. say you support it and get funding say you dont NO funding go figure

The best position for you to assume is not to "oppose" global warming in general but to oppose the theory that it's caused as a result of human behavior (driving SUVs, using hairspray, etc.). There is a lot of solid evidence that it is part of a normal climatological cycle related to solar flares and there is nothing we can or should do about it. A lot of other planets in our solar system are experiencing the same phenomenon, and I'm pretty sure the Martians aren't driving SUVs, driving private jet, or using aerosol products. The major factor we have in common with these other planets is our dependence on the sun.

It would be a good source for you because it's from a reputable and verifiable source (written by George Reid from the Aeronomy Lab at the University of Colorado - Boulder), and in the "references" section he cites his sources which could also be good articles for you to look at to support your position.

I am with Dr.Jello----- always be a SKEPTIC ------ it's an honorable title in science-------- skeptics are the ones that challenge and redefine CURRENT "consensus" thinking-----

Take string theory for example: heated debate on this subject for several decades now........ and of course Galileo was the perfect skeptic of his time.

Just Google Global Warming (myth's fake not true) read the articles and do a little bit of research to see if the consensus theorists scheme makes sense or not------- by the way there may not actually be a "consensus" among climatologists, astro-physicists and paleo-climatologists. (the politicians, Hollywood types, corporation CEOs, and UN "committee types" opinions do not count. However I would look at posts from statistics expects opposing the data collection and calculation.

Just a proud SKEPTICS view.

Should be simple being that global warming is happening its just a naturally occuring process. Man has very little to do with it. This link is a great one this information was even gotten from groups who say global warming is real and it shows they are just ignoring the facts.

You will be hard pressed to find info against global warming. Or at least legitimate. I can't belive your teacher is setting this up as a debate. You must be at an American school. I think that's the only country where the oil and gas lobby has turned global warming into a debate.

Good topic. Never forget that those who believe in man made global warming have no problem telling us that they know what the climate will be in 50 years, yet they can't forecast what the climate will be next month.

They should be able to prove the accuracy of their "science" by predicting the climate next month, 6 months, 1 year and 5 years from now. This would prove to us how accurate their calculations are.
