Who is making money off of this push and where is it going? Live Aid went for starvation in Africa, Farm Aid to help American farmers.

Where EXACTLY is the money going for this nonsense? I'll bet you a million hanging chads that Al Gore is moving up a tax bracket or two.

Did anyone catch the performance during Live Earth from the Lateran Church in Rome? It was a boys choir doing some dreck about mother earth or some crap, but they superimposed religious imagery behind them. Just having it in a church was bad enough I thought but to have the image of Christ involved?! We can't display a Nativity scene in public or pray in school.

Note to liberals, If I can't use Christ's image then you can't either! I don't go to church and I'm not sure if it is more harmful then helpful in the end, but quit being completely hypocritical at every turn and maybe I can begin to take what you are saying as something resembling fact.

My question is how? I note that the estimates put this large climate warming peak back about 1-3 ice ages ago.

Does anybody know HOW we ever survived such an intense warming period? Without the Consensus telling us what we had to do or die? Without Carbon Credits to large companies to bulldoze the jungles to save us? Without computers charting our way based on simplified data and guesstimates in programming?

Do you suppose we could get more of value by promoting the researches of the groups involved as to what happened and how man survived?

Seems from the report that Greenland was forested then and the Vikings only 1000 years ago raised vegetables in Greenland. Yet I have been told that the soils to be exposed by warming now are sterile and unusable.

Or is it just simply not possible that we can survive this one without giving up our freedoms to certain politicians and our money to selected big international industries?

I just read about a recent poll that shows that only 47% of the Americans consider Global Warming a serious problem while 68% of the French and 70% of the Spanish people think it is.

What do you think the reason is for this difference?

Do you really need to make so much C02 to tell others to make less? Isn't it funny that they get a bunch of people that use enormous amounts of C02 each year to tell us to use less? It is sponsored by Chevy and Conoco Phillips. Do they try to be this hypocritical.

Seriously. The AIDS and hunger Crisis in Africa gets tons of attention from almost every sector with influence over people (governments, health organizations, entertainment, etc), but the only sector that is doing anything about global warming is the entertainment sector, and Al Gore. Where is the attention from the UN, and our government, and the scientific community? Could this be something that is being taken a little out of context by a few to get money? How much money is being made today for this live earth thing that will never make it to an environmental cause? I have yet to see a single scientist talk about global warming on Bravo in the time I have been watching. I want to keep our world clean, but I don't want to get someone else richer doing this.

What i feel is that.... "Live Earth 2007" is the wrost thing they did. lol. Why?

They are still using up alot of power to host the thing. Making the people to dive or fly there to see their fav stars and etc.

But the songs are pretty good for the Live earth.

Post your ideas on what kind of event if there is a "Live Earth" again in the furture.

I was thinking at frist that the media have to send to send stars/bands to really to go and clean up the place. And the same time for them to tell the world why must we do it. Not using shows like "Live-Earth" to waste so many power and have people to drive and etc and etc and so on.

In average the human body produces about 420 Joule per hour. The World population went up from 4 Billion in 1970 to 6.7 billion now.
Also the amount of vehicles increased in the same period
by about % 500.
The number of houses with central heating increased by the same amount in the same period.
Could it be so that the heat produced this way remains as heat energy within the earth and add to the global warming?
