Hi!

No you shouldn't just shut up!! Far from it!

I'm fed up with all these fund raising concerts - well intended though many of them are - and I sure don't need it forcing down my throat 24/7!

They're just a free marketing ploy for all the artists, and yes, what about all the energy that is going to waste?!

We were re-cycling in the very early 80s - we used to have this fella that used to come round our office and re-cycle all our old cardboard boxes and window display signs.

We used to (and still do) re-use envelopes, bottles, carrier bags, clothes etc.

It's like re-cycling (and the rest) is a new fangled thing that they've just discovered!! Please!!

Of course it is being hypocritical. As are most of these fundraising concerts. Its all about show. Its not actually about doing anything concerning those that need the help. Its like Bono from U2 banging on about poverty and world hunger, while he has millions stashed away in the bank. If he cares that much, then why not give it all to charity and live on a basic wage (like the rest of us).

Of course this Live Earth crap is wasting loads of energy and fuel. Just as Al Gore, who is so concerned about global warming, goes swanning around the world in an aeroplane chucking out fumes in to the air.

We need fundraising events organised by real people who care, not politicians who are doing these things on the back of a political career, or new book or just publicity.

It would be different if the concerts were any good, but it seems really lethargic. The crowds aren't getting into it. Just seems like a waste of time, effort and money.

Its all approximately credibility. a million. an incredible form of the gore crowd are hyprocrits as maximum of them are bigger poluters than almost all of human beings. Gore himself does greater on his very own to pollute than 1000 human beings do. 2. stay overall performance - N0 expert became on the stay overall performance hence no evidence to assist international warming became provided. 3. The technological awareness approximately international warming, overlook approximately s the the information that we've been on the tail end of a 35 365 days warming form are are entering right into a coolling form. 4. the international warming stuff ignores historic actuality and the particularly information that coach that the 'international warming' simulations are incorrect. 5. an incredible form of the international warming is ignoring the realiyt that guy itself in basic terms bills for under 2% of all international warming and that even without guy, the co2 will improve is particularly a good factor for vegetation & vegitation. and could no longer effect our air adequate to count.

Shut up would be a great suggestion. "i [sic] bet half of of the lights aren't energy efficient." You bet?? The hypocrites are those in the oil industries, and/or in denial. Live Earth is a brilliant way to make people all over the world aware of what we're doing to destroy it. I look forward to the thumbs down for what it will represent about ..... people.

Ok, the concert is officially over now. Every stage light has been turned off, and every concert goer is now safely home tucked into their beds. Whatever wasteful energy Live Earth produced while it was on, has now ceased. No need to complain about that event anymore. But, climate change is STILL occurring! What are YOU going to do to help save our planet? If you forgot what the event's objective was, just click here for a little reminder: http://www.liveearth.org/

What fools SOME mortals be. How absurd to speculate, & make assumptions without knowing what Gore is trying to do, the example of his own life & the fact that he has NO intention to run for the presidency, so, politics has nothing to do with this. What a rotten thing to do, to try to make the world aware that they're destroying it. & not 100 years from now, but right here, right now. Does anyone know what kind of light bulbs they're using? PLEASE. Does anyone have any idea why we are so dependent on oil? Why scientist's reasearch was "censored?" It's so transparent. It would be wise if people were informed before opining, & not be locked into denial. People should shut up, only when it's clear they don't know what they're talking about.

Music was good. The message was 'pants' and the whole cause is BS.

What the hell does a pop singer know about the environment anyway? They will support any thing they are told to providing they look good on TV. Should help some failing Carree's.

Nice to see Al Gore thinks he's a rock star. He will make a fortune out of this. The book, the tour and the speaking engagements. Great business to get rich.

I don't go to concerts but it makes me think that :-

1. Have a normal concert and have 100% pollution.

2. Have an Earth concert and get 75% pollution.

3. Don't hold the concert and get 0% pollution.

This escapade in my opinion is just the beginning of their invented religion's downward spiral. When I seen that Antarctica was one of the locations I laughed out loud. You would think they would view having a concert there as sacrilege! lol

They just don't see how putting this "thing" on makes them all look, it flies in the face of everything they preach! I want to see the amount of garbage and trash their followers leave behind and watch them explain it all away!

They probably have baggers assigned to the task of running through the crowd to pick up all the trash so they can say no one polluted! Lets see the dumpsters afterward! It also would be funny to have access to the actual amount of power that was used for all this. lol

They used electricity but so does everyone. They also used solar powered electricity.
I heard on the news that, from now on, all the artists involved are going to start being more aware of what goes on in the set-up, etc. for their concerts.
Even if you don't think they're being as conservative with their climate control, do you really think that's a good excuse to do nothing?! That's like saying 'Well, Timmy jumped off the bridge so I will too'.
