I think that the death of a drama queen and a very lucky kid are making headline news for no reason. The things that have now become MSNBC topics have no business being on the air. This stuff is not news!!! Does anyone agree or have an opinion? Anna Nicole and Sanjaya have taken more spotlight on the TV Guide channel then anything else the past 2 months, does anyone see this as retarded other then me?

People baring their souls to live 3 minutes of their dream, and Simon says the meanest nastyest things that arent even apt for the situation...thats just the auditions, then what 5 months more of the same??? Shows how lame the American audience is...I for one couldn't stand the first season, let alone this Sanjaya joker...Why do you watch???

We all know that they are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week even though we can't understand what they are saying when they provide "customer service" for those big monster companies overseas. I think that is really unfair. The guy stinks so much is not even funny anymore. And probably "gayish"

I have seen so many different things about Sanjaya. Like vote for the worst, who dislike the show and want to mess it up. And theres the people on Youtube who say he's the best. There are also the celebs who say hes awesome. Do you thin he is still there as a joke to him and the show or because people like him?

He's pretty self assured for a 17 year old, and he's actually sort of funny. Melinda and others are obviously better singers, but he did add a variable that the show might have needed to kick up the ratings. I can't wait to see what becomes of good ole Sanjaya. He's been a very good sport, and I think some of the criticism has been unwarranted. He's a comedic breath of air.

I've been thinking about it a lot.... at first I just thought I was the only one who couldn't stand to see him or hear him sing. Then the farther he made it, and I saw people MUCH better then him go home...I thought ok there are just some crazy people out there voting for him. But its gotten to a point now...where I am thinking that American Idol has it rigged so that he has stayed on there this long. Look at how many people in the world are talking about Sanjaya?! He is the most talked about Idol EVER! and thats HUGE for their show. I dunno, just a thought.

Did any else notice that the1st time David (Johnny Gelecki) appeared on the show, he was introduced as Kevin. The next time he was in an episode, his name was changed to David. I was just wondering if anyone knew why the writers changed his name.

we all know that american idol is a load of bull. kelly clarkson was the only real success that came out of the show, the rest all went back to whatever pathetic life they had before joining. if sanjaya wins the contest, it would finally mean the end of American Idol.

FYI dont kid yourselves into thinking that the other contestants voted off before sanjaya had a legitimate shot at winning. we all know that either jordin or the other 2 black girls who can really sing is gonna win.

i think American Idol should change the process to the following:

Randy-Paula-Simon 25%
American Audience 25%
Artist of the week 25%
Actual record producer - last contestant kicked off - the remaining singers 25%
