What is the reason you choose to vote for him every week?
Do you really think he can sing? Do you find him attractive? Do you feel sorry for him? i would really like to know, and be honest with me

yeah, Howard Stern started it. It's a game to him, and it serves to prove how ridiculous the show is. But mostly just to have fun, and get people like yourself all upset over something that doesn't matter anyway.

Cause it's fun. Face it, if he wasn't on there, the show would be incredibly boring this season. No one is even remotely close to being as good as Melinda. She's gonna win. Top 3: Melinda, Jordin and Lakisha or Blake. This year is no mystery people! Stop being so jaded about it. As for Sanjaya, well he's just fun to watch go out there and thinks hes the ish every week and doesn't seem to care wtf happens to him at this point. He doesn't take it seriously and that's whats cool about him. American Idol is about the best, and I promise you kiddies, the best will win regardless of people voting for Sanjaya. Hell, the people that don't win end up being the most popular anyway. (Chris Daughtry, Katherine McPhee, Jennifer Hudson). People need to stop being so angry and frustrated with the show. I mean this crazy hunger strike stuff and people who cry themselves to sleep every Wednesday night cause Sanjaya makes it through needs to get over it. If you can't handle that kinda stuff, you need to do yourself a favor and just off yourself now cause life gets much harder than that.

I NEVER vote for Sanjaya but I do vote for someone that I know won't make the finals. I vote for Phil Stacey. I think he has a beautiful voice and yet if seems hardly anyone else seems to like him, especially the judges, who are really hard on him and he seems to end up in the bottom 3 most every week.
As far as Sanjaya, I've said this before, and apparantly, Tony Bennett agreed, Sanjaya has a nice voice, he just isn't as good as the rest. I just get upset that so many people on here say such mean, awful things about him. I think it is okay to not want to vote for him but I don't understand why people have to get so down and mean about him. He seems like just a friendly kid. Sure, he shouldn't still be on here because he can't sing as well and shouldn't still be a contestant but it doesn't mean he deserves to be called bad names. Its not his fault that people are still voting for him. He always smiles, no matter how mean the judges are to him or how mean the news reports are being done about him. I keep hearing how he is supposedly gay. They is no way anyone knows that for sure. He is just a thin, young, shy, frail looking kid. That doesn't necessarily make a kid gay. He could come out of this gig as a young model for some magazine or something because yes he is a cute kid and looks good in clothes because he is thin and can carry that look well. No, I am not a guy. I am a white grandmother and am trying to be fair and honest.
Before I stop answering this question, though, I must point out that my 9 old adopted son does vote for Sanjaya each week on one of our phones, while I am on the other phone dialing through voting for Phil. :o)

Personally I think that Sanjaya sucks. People are keeping him in because they are tired of the show and they are hoping that voting for him will make the other people lose the trust in the show, and then the show will not receive enough votes, canceling American Idol, but now this is just my opinion.

People instead of complaining so much on here why don't you all go do something about it. I mean why blame this poor guy who is only going after his dream. You all make it seem like he is in control of the show or something. I'm sure he didn't ask for this. Instead of blaming this poor guy and calling him all sorts of names why not go boycott Coke or Howard Stern's show and that darn Vote for the Worst website if you really feel that's who is keeping him in. The show gave "You" "Us" the power to vote so who is to blame? Having said that don't you think its time for a change? Aren't you tired of the same old ppl winning if its not some "Caucasian" its a "African American" person. I mean like we need a change lets spice it up a bit and be little more open minded. I think he's entertaining and yes he's not the best singer but if it wasn't for him being on the show I probably wouldn't have watched this season it had become so predictable. So, STOP THE HATE PPL...........Geez its just a darn TV show how will this affect our lives? It just shows how close minded Americans can be and how hateful we really are. Do we really want the rest of the world to see how silly we can behave?

Well, I don't vote for him , my favorite is the 17 year old wonder - ( you know who that is ..) she can really sing and she may walk away with the whole package . as far as Sanjaya is concerned , he is so far off the scale I am amazed how the people continue to vote for him . As one said , They should limit the votes to ( 1 ) vote per caller , and not allow that number to be used again to vote for the same contestant .... That my dear is being honest ....

lol.. its more of the underdog kinda thing ... evry1 luvs seeing an underdog do well... majority of the losers in the world get their highs with that... as they dont really have the guts to do anything themselves... probably thats why ... and also its become a fashion ... a real big joke ... whn u go among frnds and say ... " oh... i voted for sanjaya agn!!! :p"
