Sanjaya, just because it is truly entertaining to watch him perform and then listen to the judges stumble over what to say to him.
THAT's entertainment people!
Besides, no matter who you like, Melinda is the Idol to beat this year and there's no one capable of doing that. So before everyone gets all upset that I hope Sanjaya wins, just remember, the Idol Winner gets stuck with a restrictive crappy contract and the non-winners have gone on to make a lot of money and be quite successful without being backed by American Idol.

MELINDA!
I've liked her from the start!
She's very cute, one great singer and performs well through her actions!
She's very humble and always seems surprised to hear the judges say positivie things about her. I truly think she IS surprised! I can tell that by seeing her reactions.
I see her being "who" she really is and staying true to herself.
It is clear that she enjoys singing and at the same time . . . CAN!!!!!
I've got her pegged as being THE winner and hope I'm right b/c my b/f and I have a bet. (The winner gets a new C D of their choice!) LOL
Actually, I had her pegged as the next American Idol even before she made it into the top 12.

I believe the winner should be Melinda because she is phenominal as a singer and a performer, already. I hope the audiences continue to vote for her.
I do fear and wonder though if the audiences might not go ahead and vote for one of the younger and newer acts such as Blake Lewis. He is also talented but I don't think he is in any league close to the professionalism as Melinda is.
Jordin Sparks is also brilliant. Her voice is beautiful and clear and on mark. She is also so poised and assure of herself.
It is a shame that the 3 of these contestants couldn't all be in different contests because they are all so good.
LaKisha also has a wonderful voice but there is something about her that bothers me and I think it is because she kind of doesn't listen to the advise of the celebrities and purposely does the opposite of what they recommend for her. When she first came on the show, I was routing for her as she can really belt out her songs and she has such a cute, sweet little girl, but I have her in the 4th position in the finals, now.
I will anxiously be watching each week but my thoughts will be:
Melinda(1st)
Blake or Jordin (2nd and 3rd)
LaKisha(4th)

The show has been and always will be a laughing stock. Singing doesn't equal musical talent, the show is geared only towards 1 genre of music and not only that its the worst genre "pop music". These contestants aren't musicians they're blueprints for the American Idol record label. Since when did being a musician have anything to do with "a look"
I should be only be about ones ability to write songs, make their own music, play an instrument and be original. NONE of those things fit with ANYONE who's EVER been on this joke of a show. They do nothing but cram these people down our throats via, Crappy Mtv, radio and now the news (I've heard more about Sanjaya these past two weeks than I have about the British Hostages in Iran.) After they fill the airways with this crud and pay stations to feed us this garbage they get Grammy's for airplay and 12 year old girls buying the albums, oh and for those that say... "It takes talent to win a Grammy's." all I have to say to that is Vanilla Ice and Milli Vanilli.
American Idol is nothing but propaganda for the Fox network.

3.) GENOCIDE IN DARFUR (wtf GENOCIDE!!!!)
4.) "Free and Fair Trade" Exploiting workers around the world and taking away Jobs from hard working Americans.
5.) The American People being fed up with foreign policy
6.) Rising Cost of Education. ( I HAD TO SELL DRUGS just to pay for tuition for a "STATE" College. "FSU")
7.) Growing Gap between the Rich and Poor of this Country.
8.) The fact that it takes TWO JOBS in ONE HOUSE JUST TO GET BY in this country.
9.) The Bubbled Housing Market (The show "Flip this house" had a 2 bedroom home in "SOUTH CENTRAL L.A." listed for $425,000 post flip.. ALMOST A HALF A MILLION DOLLARS.)
10.) The fact that Bill O'reilly is a Douche Bag.
Please support REAL AMERICAN IDOLS the Union Men and Women that built this country with this blood, sweat and tears.

I guess it doesn't really matter to me, since this year's American Idol sucks!
Gina got voted off, that's just not right... Sanjaya's staying... but it would be hilarious to see Sanjaya stay, make a CD, and no one buying it. Heck, it might not even be possible for him to find a contract person....
All in all, as long as someone who can really sing (and have the body for it) wins, I'll be pretty much satisfied, though I might not listen to them, but still...

Melinda, no question about it, she has the vocals and a wonderful personality.... If you just want looks, then vote for Sanjaya..... Remember it's a singing competion not a fashion show.... Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, especially when someone could sing and you have your eyes closed and are enjoying what you hear..........

Blake-He is SOO Cute. I LOVE his singing. His beatboxing is INCREDIBLE.
Jordin-She's gorgeous, 17, and can sing like a godess!
LaKisha- She has an awesome POWERFUL voice.
Melinda- Winning this, for her, would be the ULTIMATE confidence booster. Plus, she too is and incredible singer with a very powerful voice.

I wanted gina to win American Idol. I wanted her to win because she did great and I loved her Black Velvet audition...also, she was rocker, and i love that. she was also really pretty.
