I have seen so many different things about Sanjaya. Like vote for the worst, who dislike the show and want to mess it up. And theres the people on Youtube who say he's the best. There are also the celebs who say hes awesome. Do you thin he is still there as a joke to him and the show or because people like him?

I think that its just a joke because every week he just makes a huge fool out of himself and every gets a kick out of it and feels better about themselves.

Remember William Hung? He was awful but people loved him. He even made a couple of albums. Sure Sanjaya sings better than William but to be in the last 9? Definite no! People on Youtube say and do all kinds of things just to get others to view their videos, so they don't have any creditibility. Celebs may want to hitch a ride on his notoriety. Sanjaya is a joke to Idol and he'll get voted out soon enough when his 'fans' wake up from their dream.

I'm voting for him as a joke. The show isn't at all interesting past the auditions. If they just changed the name of the show to "Simon rips on people, guess how many times Randy say yo dog yo, and watching Paula's Alcoholism get the best of her", then I'd watch that. I really feel that these people who are promoting Sanjaya's win or even those who say vote for the worst. Are doing a injustice to him, they are building him up, and where will they be when he falls on his face. I don't think he has what it takes to be the next idol, but I don't like what is being done to him also. His voice isn't bad, but, I would hate to see him win, when I know there are others on there, that should win. And with all this hype, and the fools, out there who just want to have fun, are not really thinking with a clear head. Yes he is a likable person, but that's that..

Sanjaya is a better singer than the judges and people give him credit for. I, for one, am glad that the "underdog," so to speak, is still in the running.

Was it just me or was it sarcasm when simon said " Lets take a different approach, that was great" after Sanjaya's performence?
Sanjaya was all happy and saying thank you, but I think it was sarcasm or is Simon loosing his mind?

I think that people are voting for him not based on talent but personality. I have seen better talent on that show than him, however his charisma is far better than everyone else's. I have also heard that people that are getting sick of American idol are grouping up to vote for the worst one and try to give idol a bad rep.

A little of both, the best thing to do is for everyone to vote his ugly mug off the show. He's very annoying to me. And why should he be American Idol anyway?

Depends on who is doing the voting. Both reasons could apply. Neither could apply.
Personally, I'm doing it because I enjoy reading about how ridiculous some people are getting.

it has to be a joke plus my friend told me about a website called vote for the worst and they're getting everyone to vote for him because he sucks
