Yes, I think there is something rigged about the show results. I can't put my finger on it, but I do feel that way. But, I think that Sanjaya is an honest fluke, who is making the most of his 15 minutes in the sun, and possibly more. The guy actually could win, and he would have only himself to thank, not Howard Stern.
The Mohawk sent Sanjaya into the IDOL stratosphere, and now the rest is up to him. If he's creative he could be the guy who upsets all the favorites, like Melinda, Lakisha, Blake, Chris, Jordan, Phil, and Haley. In other words, who knows?

Rigged?
Don't believe is is because the judges are not a part of the voting process now. The public is voting.. Instead of calling in they should have a computer site to receive votes. The computer can be programmed to only accept one vote from an idividual. Howerd Stern. why would anyone listen to that scum of the earth, let alone take his advice.
Only in America can someone earn half a billion dollars peddling his trash. The only way for idol to expect to regain any respect is to limit the amount of times someone can vote, voteing would have to be done through a computer to control this. And, the three panel judges vote. A fair solution would have to be determined to have computer votes count vs how much the three judges votes counts. Or have a panel of judges made up of people from the recording industry who have never heard the contestants perform. Perhaps rotating them would help. Simon wanted to vote off Carie Underwood, who has become on of the most successful winners. Simon would have to stay, as viewers watch to listen to his wise cracks, and how he humiliates the contestants. Not saying I approve, but people do like to rubberneck to see accidents and train wrecks. Just some thoughts. If I had all the answers I would be in the seven figure income bracket and not the five. By the way , I have given up on watching Idol, it has changed so much it is not fun to watch anymore. Therefore, I do not even know who this Sanjaya is. Looks like I will have to watch one show to see for myself. And if he is as bad as all of you have said, then it justifies why I stopped watching idol. If this keeps up they will be off the air within two years.

I think AI is totally rigged, every Wednesday on the results its not really a big shock that Sanjaya is still on there. However, when it came down to Haley or Gina I think Haley should have gotten the boot. I just don't understand why they choose to keep Sanjaya on the show..he can't sing worth a crap and hes not good looking. I think they should raise the voting age to 18 that way all the immature little brats can't vote for him and keep his sorry a** on there. If Sanjaya wins I will not watch next season.

I've watched American Idol faithfully since mid Season One. I think that the whole perpective of the show is changing from 'singing' talent to 'entertaining' talent. Who ever brings in the most ratings. I watch now cause I still love Simon's brutal honesty.. Just WISH he would state how pathetic it is to keep Sanjaya on... Come On Now!!!!!!!! Sending ppl with more talent home over another William Hung. And to say Sanjaya is cute???? wow Does America need their eyes AND ears checked???

No, American Idol does no longer would desire to rigg it for that. I do think of that they'd rigged it for Danny. i think of they needed Danny off final week Did you be conscious.... how while they have been giving out Danny's numbers that' while Simon and Paula have been doing all that stuff. I guess that drew the attention off Danny and positioned it on the judges incredibly. I even examine a post on msn approximately how the judges have been stealing the attention from the contestants. additionally how Kate Perry had that cap on that pronounced Adam Lambert. If that wasn't advertisment i don't understand what's. i do no longer think of they alter the vote numbers yet I do think of that they play around with human beings. attempting to get them to vote for certan human beings.

Yeah, definitely!
Very obvious...
maybe the producers are making a big joke out of it...
but i think they're earning more from it because there would be more voter turnouts just to see Sanjaya leave.

I dont think he is near as bad as people are saying but I do think its time for him to go home. I see the charm and charisma and he is so sweet and adorable but the judges shouldnt have put him where they did, he wasnt ready.
I wouldnt be surprised if its rigged but I dont really know and neither does anyone else for sure but he is certainly popular and I some people are voting for him b/c they feel so bad for him b/c people are giving him such a hard time! If people would back off him he wouldnt be near as popular.

I think it isrigged. I would like to see how many votes the contestants get each week. That way we could see how the votes went. I think the voting should be 50% call ins and the judges make up the other 50%

As some point, AI was probably involved with singing and votes. Now it is only concerned with Ratings. Whatever can keep them on air will be shown on air.
