I used to play the piano. Still do, a bit. But I'm not great at it. I'm only alright. And I want to learn again. But I wanted to see if there was such thing as an intensive course to try out. Something that could get me back up to speed quickly, and hopefully get me great too. If such a thing exists could you tell me about it? Preferably this would be a course in or near London. Ta.

Is it just me or has there been sort of a decline in the quality of music over the past 40 years? Bands like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and tons of other great rock bands made songs that we still listen to today with pleasure. It seems like these days many songs are the same, with the occasional breakthrough. Is this because of the lack of effort it takes today to make a song, and a popular one at that? Pick a beat on the computer, sing the words, and then it all gets edited? Does anyone agree with me here or is it just my bias?

Hi everybody,

I would like to know the most famous Instrumentals in Pop History.
I have so many melodies of Instrumentals in my head but don't know the titles.

I mean Instrumentals like this examples:

Hot Butter - Popcorn
Space - Magic Fly
Fleetwood Mac - Albatros
Santana - Samba Pa Ti
Dan The Banjo Man - Dan The Banjo Man

It is very difficult to find the titles of Instrumentals because it is impossible to identify them by the non existing lyrics. Please help me and others to tell here the titles of very famous Pop Instrumentals.

Thank you to all Musiclovers

Who wrote this song? I think it is called Neurotic but I don't know who the band is.

'Cause it moves just like you
And it breaks just like me
And it lies just like them
And these walls are protecting me

And so the story goes
Strip down it's the same
And so the story goes
In a blink of an eye you become history

'Cause it plays just like you
And it fades just like me
And it steals just like them
It's neverending it's neverending for me

And so the story goes
Strip down it's the same
And so the story goes
In a blink of an eye you become history

I put my blinding faith in you
My philosophy says I should stop

And so the story goes
Strip down it's the same
And so the story goes
In a blink of an eye you become history

This sounds stupid and isn't really a question, but is there any way to write or email the band My Chemical Romance? I can't find a way on their site or anything. Their music has been so much more to me than music, and even if they hear it all the time, I want to tell them how much it means to me to hear the pain I was feeling. I was close to committing suicide, and I'm only 15. I wanted to lay down and die, so every time I felt that way, I listened to them. Their new CD is helping me through my life right now, and I just wanted to know if I could try to let them know this stuff. Music can change your life.

Thanks everybody.

I did not notice the connection until I checked out some of Clapton's old music as well as his blues. It was like, wow - this was blues, but it was also hard rock! Sure there are a handful of hard rock pioneers such as The Who and the Rolling Stones etc., but remember, it was the heavy use of blues (and not just the use of guitar distortion) that made these acts heavy: Jimmi Hendrix; Led Zeppelin; Deep Purple; Black Sabbath etc.

I'm just wondering if people have overlooked Clapton's influence over hard rock music (which sprouted heavy metal, eventually).

Thanks.
