I used to play the piano. Still do, a bit. But I'm not great at it. I'm only alright. And I want to learn again. But I wanted to see if there was such thing as an intensive course to try out. Something that could get me back up to speed quickly, and hopefully get me great too. If such a thing exists could you tell me about it? Preferably this would be a course in or near London. Ta.

I don't know of any courses as such but I think the best way to get back in to it to find a really good teacher who you get on with and just practise:) I suggest going to the Royal College of Music or the Academy of Music and see if there are any teachers there that will teach you privatley. Thats how I found my teacher and he teaches both my sisters who just play for fun so there are bound to other teachers in the colleges that will teach not only college students. I think thats your best bet!
Even if you hadn't thought of having private lessons its probably the quickest and best way to learn because you can go at your own pace and like I suggested if you find a good teacher-not neccessarily someone who teachers at the colleges, then they will help move you on quickly.
Good Luck with the piano playing!
If you want anymore advice then send me an e-mail.
