[Good question. This is just a man's opinion.] Depends - is a a female rapper trying to do her best imitation of a male rapper or is she someone who is trying to actually make a solid impact on the hip hop world? An example would be Missy Elliot. While her latest albums are starting to sound formulaic - her earlier stuff was groundbreaking.

Nope I'm not a fan of either. Especially rap. That just shows my age though. I was raised hearing traditional Christian music, but did have my favorites among some recording artists of the late fifties. I remember some of Elton John's first recordings. Janis Ian also.

yes im a fan. i like old rap better than this new rap, though. i think todays best rappers are ludacris, t.i. and lil wayne. but i hardly listen to their music; i just know they can rap. i like people like 2pac, bone thugs n harmony, snoop, biggie and krs 1.
