I can only remember 1 line of the song and it is stuck in my head, it goes something like:
"will (or we'll) keep the spirit alive holding on"

its kinda of spunky tune, I remember it being associated with a movie, but I can not remember that movie either, something about 2 guys 1 black and 1 white I believe going to the bahamas or something, please someone help me out, I know it is far fetched but I cant remember!

I don't know why I cannot find this. I thought the name of the song was "Lookin' Good Darlene," but I can't find it anywhere. It goes something like, "Hey, yah yah yah lookin' good Darlene. Ah yah yah yah she looks good to you, if you know what I mean. . ." Can anyone tell me the title and artist of this song? Sounds kind of like Brookes and Dunn. Thanks.

I’m not really sure how to describe this or if it’s even an instrument, it makes this weird noise and you often hear it in movies that take place in Australia or something.

I’m pretty sure its a wind interment, I guess it kind of sounds like a horn that makes a sound that goes kind of from high to low and alternates.

For me, it's that song about the red shoes, the one where the kid wants to buy some shoes on Christmas Eve for his dying mom so that she can be pretty when she goes to see Jesus tonight! I mean, WTF?!?!? A song about a kid whose mother is going to die on Christmas?!? Who wants to hear a Christmas song about that?!?
I don't think I even need to mention about "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer!" Another song about a relative dying on Christmas?!?!? Hey, why stop there?!? Why not write a Christmas song about "Little Jimmy got mauled to death by his pit-bull puppy" or "The Christmas Pudding burned the house down with all my new toys in it" or some other rot like that?!?!?

I have very little information to go on but, here goes:

The song was released in the late 80's - early 90's (between 88 & 92 I think) and was a very haunting tune. It was sung by a man and a woman (again, I think it was) and the video had a man and a woman in a small boat on a body of water (hence my thought that it had been sung by a man and woman). I don't even know if it was released anywhere other than Britain.

That is about all I know, other than the lyrics were printed in Smash Hits.

Not a lot to go on I know, but it's driving my wife nuts. She remembers thinking the song was fantastic and can recall that she and her friend learnt all the words, but she can't actually remember the song itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
