When I was a kid, I listened mostly to pop.

When I was a teen, I listened mostly to hard rock and metal.

When I was in my 20's, I listened mostly to techno.

Now I'm in my 30's and I listen to all of these styles and more, and the few styles I don't particularly care for (punk, country, opera) I can at least appreciate.

How about you? Has your taste in music also broadened over time?

I have been playing guitar on and off for 10 years. My friends and I are making a band (sort of) and we have too many guitarist and no bass player. I was thinking about taking it up. Any hints, suggestions, advice, or personal comments are appriciated.

Thanks!!!

You know, that cutsey sounding pop dance group that gave us such memorable hits as "Barbie Girl" and "Candyman"? Anyone know if they ever came out with another album? Or were they just a one hit wonder?

Okay here's the deal....my sister works at a Casino (she is managment) ....she is 28, a hard worker and boss to a lot of people...but she's also about as mature as an 8 year old...she listens to alot of rap, indie, house, raver type stuff...(which has no bearing here...) she has to pick a song to "represent herself" and they are all gonna play clips at her work...and then they have to guess who the clip belongs too...thing is...she doesn't listen to any "popular music" that anyone else might know...right now the best we can come up with (because it's damn funny) is the Imperial March from Star Wars (that da nanananana...when Vader shows up) or Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson...she's trying to find something really hokey kinda thing...that would be work appropriate....but, still immature at the same time lol

any suggestoins would be great! thanks.

The video contains photos & video clips I've taken of her over the last year. I'm looking for a song for the video--her name is Lauren and she'll be 9. She's a really sweet little girl--funny, smart, athletic (she was MVP of her softball team)... I'm considering Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely"... still looking for suggestions... Thank you!

What song would it be? Mine would be Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I feel it expresses all of our freedoms and sums it up.
I mean something besides National Anthem and those songs.

I remember hearing a song a long time ago that was either called 'Alice doesn't live here' or 'Alice doesn't live here anymore'. The only words I remember are "...The circus comes to town and he's gonna take the children for the day. She'll say it's now or never, she'll get her things together, she'll dry her eyes and quickly drive away"..."And when the day is over and they all come home together, they'll find this note that she left on the door. It says if the phone should ring and someone asks to speak to Alice, just tell them Alice doesn't live here anymore." Anyone know which song i'm talking about and where I can find the lyrics?
