Supergroup Smackaround continues. Well, I figured you people would like ELP better than Down, so that was no surprise. The absolute beatdown delivered by Temple of the Dog to Asia was a little surprising, though.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1970) -
Keith Emerson (The Nice) Greg Lake (King Crimson) Carl Palmer (Atomic Rooster)
vs.
Temple of the Dog (1990) -
Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) Matt Cameron (Soundgarden) Stone Gossard (Mother Love Bone) Jeff Ament (Mother Love Bone) Mike McCready (Pearl Jam)
ELP sports 10 studio albums and 6 live albums. Early "Prog rock," which may be said to have influenced much of the rock of the next two decades.
Temple of the Dog sports 1 album, retroactively re-released after the radio success of Soundgarden. This band may have never seen any radio airplay, if not for the eventual fame of the members.
