The Who did "Sell Out" which I think is brilliant, and Genesis did "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway "which is brilliantly weird,Aphrodites Child with "666",which is a bit scary,Jon Anderson of Yes with the wonderful sci-fi epic "Olias of Sunhillow", Jethro Tull and "Thick as a Brick", and of course Pink Floyd with "The Wall " and also Dark Side. What were your faves ?

Jethro Tull followed up Thick as a Brick with Passion Play. They also did Warchild, Heavy Horses...oh God they didn't know when to stop! The Who did Tommy and Quadrophenia of course. Genesis preceded Lamb with Selling England by the Pound - inspired apparently by T S Elliot's The Wasteland - there were so many of them! The first one I bought was Tarkus by ELP. I wonder if Dark Side of the Moon is a concept album - if so, when it was first released it was a big favourite. I've just heard it too much, sadly to still want to hear it very often. I'll settle with Foxtrot as my choice - Side two anyway is a "concept" - Supper's Ready. It's FUN

I love The Who's "Sell Out"!

Not prog, but my other favorite concept albums are The Small Faces "Ogden's Nut Gone Flake" (best album packaging ever) and The Kinks "Village Green Preservation Society."

I prefer "A Trick of the Tale" from Genesis, even if w/o Gabriel. Never thought of The Who as prog rock, but if they are, then gimme "Quadrophenia" any day. Wish I could think of bands not on your list, but I can't get into that space right now....
