I want to improve because I sang along to a song by myself once before and I sounded awful and now I don't want to sing in front of people because I know I sound awful but the thing is that I really like singing and I want to improve but I don't want to take lessons because when I sing in front of people I freeze because I know I'm rubbish. Any advice?

Ok i was born in 1987, so i wasn't really alive during the 80s, does anyone know wat was dance music? I know technotronic and New Order ect would definotly b dance music, but to my ears Duran Duran - Rio or Hungry Like the Wolf are \sythn-pop and dance. how did they draw a distinction (if they did?)

in the 90's there was a teenager girl, blond, not leeanne rimes! she had two songs out that i really liked. in one of the music videos she was with a three other friends, her boyfriend and her best friend and her best friends boyfriend. they were sneaking into a museum i believe and a guard almost catches them, in the other video she is singing about being in love and she floats up to the ceiling and her family is sitting around her kitchen table. thats how i remember them anyway. if anyone call tell me the artists name or the song titles i would really appreciate it, thank you so much!!!
