I ran a .wav editing program and ripped 2 songs off of 2 CDs. One was the original CD version of a song, the other was a "Live" version recorded during a concert. I compared the 2 files one above the other - peaks, beat, wording, all matched EXACTLY (minus crowd and an instrumental part where they yelled at the crowd).
I don't know why people made fun of Ashley Simpson on SNL, I thought that was pretty dumb.

it annoys me so much because think of the "old days" when people got up in front of thousands and actually used their own voices and sang. these says voice are digitally edited! anyone can record an album example paris hilton. but ask her to sing live and the answer will be NO because she cant. so thats why singers(wouldnt call them singers) lip sync. Wheres the talent these days

Sometimes you have no choice but to lip sync, especially if you are not feeling well on concert night. But perhaps not 'most' singers...

on the other hand some singers sing way better in concert than on their recordings. Christina Aquilera or even madonna she has a great voice now, she has a very rich alto.

yeah some some of them lyp sinced thier songs especially performance nights...
real singers like mariah carey., celine dion & xtina aguilera would not need that because they are real.. and they deserve to lyp songs f posibble...
but i dont think britney is to be considered as a singer... most of her performances are fake in singing!!!! she's just 1 of those fake freaks!!!! she can dance and that is what she's all about
