The songs is called Fire by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. The album (pre CD) peaked at Number 7 on the Bill Board Charts and the Song Peaked at Number 2.
An interesting sidenote, the drummer's name was Drachen Theaker who had a fear of flying so after the song was recorded he was replaced by a drummer named Carl Palmer. Carl Palmer was also the drummer of Emerson, Lake and Palmer in the 70's.
