I remember hearing a song a long time ago that was either called 'Alice doesn't live here' or 'Alice doesn't live here anymore'. The only words I remember are "...The circus comes to town and he's gonna take the children for the day. She'll say it's now or never, she'll get her things together, she'll dry her eyes and quickly drive away"..."And when the day is over and they all come home together, they'll find this note that she left on the door. It says if the phone should ring and someone asks to speak to Alice, just tell them Alice doesn't live here anymore." Anyone know which song i'm talking about and where I can find the lyrics?

THE BALLAD OF ALICE COOPER

I also found references to Bob Dylan singing a song "Alice doesnt live here" but it always says he never recorded it.
(Jon Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper)

I also found a reference to The Mushrooms.."Alice doesnt live here anymore"..but it says unavailable. :(~

Alice Cooper - "Alice doesn't live here anymore..."??

Or possibly its a soundtrack from the movie "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore..." a 1974 classic Martin Scorcese film.

I can't really find any lyrics though.
