Working in music production is a lot of fun, but sometimes you encounter a person that can't work efficently due to the constant twiddling with effects, or adding additional harmonies, sections ect.ect. Deadlines must be met in any industry, the songs already sound good. What can I say to get "The Professor" to stop his extremely knowledgeable tweaking and finish the bloody song?

When you write songs, how do you do it? Write out a poem and then make a song out of it?

Do you worry about syllables or rythm? If so, are there patterns that are sometimes useful? Does it matter how it will be sang as long as it works and sounds good when you read it to yourself?

Is less and more precise lyrics better or more lyrics as if you were telling a story?

If so, can you tell if you know if they're coming to the US ever? I remember reading awhile back Justin saying he's giving up on America, but I hope not. They're one of the coolest bands today. I'm thinking I'm going to have to plan a trip to England just to see them in concert.
