Buckethead, better known as Brian Carroll to his family, must be one of the strangest performers to date. On stage, he wears a white mask, topped with a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket.
Most of his music is rooted in heavy metal shredding and he himself cites some of his inspirations as Michael Jackson, Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, Angus Young, and Shawn Lane.
He was a member of the re-formed Guns N’ Roses from 2000 to 2004, when he left because of personal differences with the group.
He was named as one of the Top 30 Trailblazers in January 1997 by Guitar Player Magazine and has also been in the top three for Best Experimental Guitarist category
