Some retarded guy befriends a girl because they both like dolls and make believe.
I remember him wearing a superman shirt.
The parents are against the young girl being around him, because he is mental, plays with a lot of dolls, plus plays with kids.

The parents end up making a mistake about the guy and insist the girl stop being with the guy.
Well, the girl returns a doll he gave to her at the end of the movie because the parents insist she give it back.
They find they guy in a fridgerator clutching the doll.
The girl ends up taking the doll.

It was a very sad movie and the music score was incredibly beautiful. The Carpenters sang the theme song and it was later used during the Olympics and called 'Nadia's Theme.' I think it's also used as the theme song for a soap opera. For awhile there was some legal problem and you could not buy the soundtrack anywhere, even the Carpenter's rendition was missing. Does anyone know why? Is that music available anywhere now? Thanks!

I once saw a bit of this film and it was raw! There seemed to be a chase scene inside a subway, I think, and another scene where a girl whose pimp? (perhaps), quickly flings a pillow over her head before shooting her in the face, but that is all I can remember. It was raw, and felt like it was made in the 70s or early 80s. Had a drugsy/pimpy/tough cops/mean/gritty/merciless/shocking style to it.

The best movie I've ever seen, in my opinion, is 2007's Epic Movie. That movie is SO funny and I understand a lot of the jokes that my parents don't understand.
