Especially any dealing w/someone getting their act together...moving on, getting a new job, new life, figuring out whats important in life, etc.

A few I've seen that I liked were:

Ya Ya Sisterhood
Sisterhood of Traveling Pants
Big Fish
Pursuit of Happyness

What have you seen that inspired you? Something fairly current, 1990 -2007

Big Fish. Boy, does that movie make you feel good. BECAUSE IT’S AMAZING! Don’t be mislead by the fact that Tim Burton directed it, there’s only one or two “Burton” moments. Other then that, a great comedy/drama that will make you laugh and feel good. It’s a very good fairytale-esque movie. Trust me, it will definitely leave you feeling happy. Great plot, acting, and everything else! The movie is a perfect 4/4, it’s brilliant.

Note: I just noticed that you noted that you already saw this movie after I posted my answer. My advice: SEE IT AGAIN.

P.S. Also watch “The Ultimate Gift.” Very, VERY good feeling movie. It’ll be on DVD soon.

It's funny you had to ask this question because the lastest movie I watched is from this genre : Towelhead (2007) I found that the protagonist has done a wonderful job in keeping up with the demanding role. Mysterious Skin (2004) was also quite good. BA : Flipped, School Ties & Life of David Gale

Definitely The Holiday (ft/ Cameron Diaz)! It was such a feel good movie that I wanted to cry b/c the characters in the movie were living such a fairy tale! I loved that movie! The first 5 minutes are depressing, but then the main characters do something about it and whalla! Happiness!!!

"A Beautiful Mind" it is a great movie and is based on a true story. And also, it is a really old movie but its a classic "A Raisin in the Sun"... also "Life is Beautiful" its about the Holocaust so its not that great of feel good movie but it does end in an inspiring somewhat happy note.

It's a Wonderful Life. An old black and white movie starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. It's a classic movie to see during the holiday season. I tear up every time I see it.
