Movies - 9 October 2006

I think "Crash" deserved this award as best picture. People argue that it didjnt deserve it because it was made on such a small budget but what i think is a movie is a movie no matter how u slice and dice it! lol I mean look at the movie Clerks. It was SOOO low budget but it is a classic comedy movie that everyone knows compared to movies on a higher budget that never leave a mark. Crash was one of the most well made movies is what i think. what do u think?

Just saw on Sky news that in the 4th film, due to rising costs (wages) they are killing off Will Turner (Orlando Bloom). How do you think they will kill him off, might they perhaps leave a way for Elizabeth and Jack to get together (this is how they usually ruin a good film).

I remember seeing lots of films when I was younger that made me think wow! that was great n I went and watched it again n again.
However I have noticed that this is happening less and less, are the films not as good, or am I expecting more or am I simply not as easily impressed?
Are modern films trying to make up for crappy storylines with special effects or are they just not as good as they used to be?
