(just so you know, I'm asking cause my ex's girlfriend sent me a message with the first text...when I told my ex about it and that I was offended, he said I was overreacting. So I wrote "racism sucks, doesn't it" on his facebook account and he said I was accusing him of being a racist and got extremely annoyed. I said that I was offended and that I just wrote that statement to say that the text I received I felt truly offended by and was not accusing him of being a racist. Who's right or are we both wrong? oh yeah, I'm black and he's white and his girlfriend is white by the way)

Yes I figured this out. After you answer a question and the asker let's it go to the community pot, you can go there and vote for your answer. Your avatar will not be there, but then list the answers numerically. Just look back through your questions you answered and when you see the "in voting" by the question, you can vote for your answer or anothers. So you may pick up 10 points more each time and normally they are decided by one or two votes.

Also if you froget and don't pick a best answer for your question and miss out on the three points, you can still go and vote for the best answer on your asked questions and get a point. had to figure this out, but some know. Take care. Also if the question you answered was "extended", then you will really need to go back a week on all the questions you answered and if you see the "in voitng" open it and vote for yourself or someone elses answer. Take Care.

We keep the house warm...But in the bedroom the vent and doors are closed and a window up a little and a fan on....We can't sleep with it warm....And all the more reason to nuggle....lol

On a serious note, which we tend not to do that often here in P&S, I came across something on MSNBC that had my interest-racial profiling in the news.

Now before everyone gets all rowled up, lets remember who you are leaving your comments to. I am not the enemy, I'm simply a woman curious as to what the community is thinking. I do not tolerate bigetry and racism very well at all, so leave it at the front door, do not bring it in here PLEASE!

Now- a reporter with MSNBC (caucasian male) recently wrote an article about missing persons. We see them everyday right? Mostly young females- majority of them are white. Of all the Laci Peterson's, Chandra Levy's etc in the world, there have been few times when a missing person of the African American race is featured as often as some of the Caucasian women cases. Why do you think that is? Also, if this was not an issue, why do you think a Caucasian man would write this article and interview the president of NBC about who gets on the air?

Let's say the Beatles were all still alive, and they decided, after almost 40 years, to record a new album. People would be beside themselves with excitement, but that album could never, ever, EVER live up to its expectations. It would always be compared to their past legacy, and no matter what the sales figures were, it would be considered by many to be a failure.

Isn't that pretty much what happened with the most recent Star Wars triogy?

Granted, Episode I sucked, I will concede that, but E2 and E3 were both rich with a story, great action sequences, and E3 specifically tied the two trilogies together quite well. The worst part about E2 and E3 is Hayden Christiansen steals a paycheck every time he is paid to act; he is horrible.

I'm just curious why everyone hated these movies so much...

In Beowulf, Angelina is nearly fully nude. Virtual rendition or not, would you go to the nearest IMAX to see her naked and in 3D up on the IMAX screen, or perhaps go just to see the movie in general?
