I'm 33 with 2 kids, 5 and 3 and having to watch some of their programmes this hols have left me hankering after my childhood tv programmes which I'm sure were 100% better than some of what they put on now. My favourite was Bagpuss - whats yours?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some music suggestions based on what I like. I'm just going to tell you some artists I like, because I think the conventional genre system is way out of wack anyway.

I really like laid back, instrumental music with lyrics. Keep it simple. Maybe guitar, drums, bass, piano sometimes, and a really good singer that doesn't get all in your face like alot of modern music. I can't stand in-your-face music!

Anyway, I don't know if anyone will have heard of these people or not, but I like James Hunter's People Gonna Talk album, and I really like Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams album.

I guess I like mellow, easy going, simple music. Any suggestions would be great!

Heavy Metal on the other hand can get you tense, aggressive and pumped, as the testosterone flows through your veins. But why, and how, does music cause this effect?

I've been playing for two years and I'm struggling a bit. All my songs sound the same because of the limited selection of chords I know. I've tried chord cards but I just can't seem to get my fingers around them. Any suggestions?
