Playing Scrabble on the computer last night with the kids, made an unusual word by accident. We remember the definition but not the word! The word seemed a bit archaic, it means "mail that cannot be delivered". I assume they mean snail mail. Does anyone know what the word would be? Thanks!

Booty call, for instance, makes light of what is actually going on. Someone asked a booty call question, and I don't REALLY know what it is, but know it entails sex, so isn't that a silly word for something so important?

In other words, the first sentence will begin with the letter "A." ; The second sentence, with the letter" W ", etc. The last sentence will begin with the letter, "G." The story will have 15 sentences.

This time NBC did it. This morning one of the anchors said, "Thanks for the new news today." One of the most uniquest mistakes yet, and this wasn't read off the teleprompter. I can't stand it!!

What's a word (a noun I think) that refers to a project or activity that at first sounds like an easy, quick thing, but then quickly turns into something that sucks up all the resources (and people's time) around it?

Like it's a black hole for resources...like something that would be used to describe projects like the Big Dig that just keep going more and more over budget and further and further past deadline, but require more and more man power.

its funny to me... people make fun of mid westerners ( wisconsinites in particular, and othe ruppper midesteners for using this phrasology "doncha know" at the end of a sentence. it has become the stereotype. i cnat understand why, because in my whole life living in southern wisconsin, i never heard anyone say that... ever. where does that expression come from? did one woman from racine say it once and someone went back to new york to report that wisconsinites talk funny? LOL what d oyou think?
