THE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
A - "Animals praying, really, Grandpa?, " little Billy asked, his eyes large with wonder.
W - Whirls of snow wafted about the cozy farm house but inside, all was warm and snug this wintry night.
A - "Aye, Laddie," his Grandfather confirmed with a nod of his snow white head as he continued his story.
Y - "You can see the miracle every Christmas Eve night at the stroke of midnight when the animals all over the world kneel in peace to pray giving thanks for the original miracle, the birth of God's son.
I - "It's Christmas Eve tonight, Grandpa! Can we go see the animals praying?," Billy asked excitedly.
N - Nathaniel shook his head as he spoke up saying," Dad, you shouldn't fill his head with such fantasies."
T - "The legend is true and just because you've never seen it doesn't mean it's a fantasy," his father replied with a wink down at the small boy on his lap.
H - "Humph, who would want to plow their way out to the barn in this snow just to watch the farm animals sleep or munch oats?," Nathaniel laughed walking to the window to peer out.
E - Ellen, Billy's Mom, entered carrying a tray of steaming hot chocolate effectively putting an end to the praying animal topic.
M - "Mmmm, Hot chocolate!," Billy exclaimed sliding off his Grandpa's lap.
A - "Anyone else for a cup?," Ellen laughed as she sat the tray down on the coffee table in front of the sofa.
N - Nathaniel couldn't sleep with his mind going back to the Christmas legend of the praying animals that his father had even told him as a small boy.
G - Getting silently out of bed and bundling up, he labourously made his way through the knee deep snow to the barn.
E - Eyes wide in disbelief, he stared in amazed wonder.
R - Reverently, every animal in the barn, the goat, the horse, Billy's pony, even the barn cat were down on all fours with their heads bowed!

After the long trek, Mary and Joseph were tired.
“Where can we find a place to stay,” Joseph wondered.
“All the rooms in town seem to be taken.
Yet, I know the Lord will provide.”
In the end, he could not get a room.
None of the inns had any vacancies.
The owner of one inn, seeing that Mary was pregnant, offered the use of his stable.
Having traveled for days, Joseph was happy to accept the offer.
“Even a warm barn will suffice for now,” Joseph thought.
Making up a bed for Mary with the hay, Joseph quickly turned the stable into a passable bedroom.
After he fixed a bed for Mary, he filled the manger with hay knowing he would soon need a warm place to put the baby.
Nearly five hours later, Jesus was born.
Giving praise to God, Joseph laid Jesus in the manger.
Early the next day, three magi arrived with gifts for the baby Jesus.
Rising on the wind could be heard the voices of angels shouting “Hosanna in the highest; peace on earth to men of good will.”

A SILVER CHRISTMAS
A - "Always leaving getting Christmas presents till the last minute", snarled Dorothy at Lionel, "when you know you could get them in plenty of time."
W - "Well this time it just won't do - I'm not standing for it anymore!", she added.
A - "Alright, keep your wig on", slurred Lionel who wiped the sleep from his eyes.
Y - "You finally going to listen - good, so go over to the spare room then choose and order online," demanded Dorothy.
I - "In case you had forgotten, you need to call on Lillian after you've finished so try to get it done in an hour".
N - "Not much chance going this morning", he said peering out the window, "only heroes and angels would be out in such a fierce snowstorm."
T - "Then it's a good job that you are first name terms with the Almighty then", she smirked, pointing to the dog collar Lionel was putting on.
H - "He probably doesn't like it when you speak like that", he chided.
E - "Eventually, you'll come round to my idea that our Father does have a sense of humour", she cajoled.
M - " 'Made in God's image' aren't we?", she said rhetorically
A - "Always like this in the run up to Christmas, aren't you - but I wouldn't have it any other way", he said playfully.
N - "Nice girls would have been mostly sweetness and light", he mused, "but you challenge my thinking and make me reaffirm my faith."
G - "Getting the picture, finally, after our silver wedding anniversary - well better late than never!", she beamed.
E - "Especially since this is the busiest time of year for the vicarage", he said ruefully.
R - "Remind me again why I put up with you", she asked - Lionel kissed her on lips, "ah, now I remember - be away with you now!"

A cold winter night when every one were on their warm cozy beds, Helen was wide awake by the window beacause of hunger.
White sheets of snow was covering the window of their house and she prayed to Virgin Mary to do some miracle as it was christmas eve and she and her mother was dying of hunger.
As usual nothing happened and they still waited for a miracle.
"You would like to see us die of hunger, don't you GOD?" thought Helen.
Instantly she heard a sound of bells jingling by the door and she ran to see if God was there with some food.
None was there but there was a gift box near the door.
There was also a note aside and she took it and went inside and opened it.
Helen was suprised to see some sandwiches, bacons and some bread rolls inside it.
Enamoured she took the food and shared it between herself and her mother and thanked God and Virgin Mary for their miracle.
Miracle it was not, but it was the King of that country who done it.
As usual it ws his visit to that village and one of his letters was sent by Helen telling him about their poverty.
Never Never in his life he wanted poverty to be in his empire.
Gifting something special like this he was happy even than when he gift jewels to his wife.
Even though he done a small thing, it is a great thing before God.
Realizing the true needs of poor, it was king Akbar who visited Helen.
