As in: To be elected as a U.S. Senator, representing a certain state, one must be an inhabitant of cette state for 9 years or more. Am I thinking of "said" state, or is "cette" a real/acceptable word for that sentence.

I know it is French for "this".

Please don't respond with dictionary links, or the like. Use it in a sentence if possible.

I am a Yahoo answers neophyte, but immediately I observed that the people here generally can't spell. Germany was spelled GERMENY and engine was spelled INGINE. I am normally not that intractable about spelling, but come on people. LOOK AT THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE "ENTER YOUR QUESTION BOX"...there's a spell chek opsion (irony intended).
