pneumonoultramicroscopic
silicovolcanoconiosis
This word is one of the technical names for black lung, the other, more common technical term being pneumoconiosis. The first medical term was coined in 1935, and at that point in time was known as the longest word in the English language. I don't know if that word still holds the title today.
EDIT:
The 2 words above are acutally one word, but it is too long for Yahoo! Answers to fit on the screen all at the same time, so I separated them so you can see the whole spelling.

In English it's the scientific names for "coal miner's lung" or "black lung." Whatever that name is is the longest English word.

antidisestablishmentarianism - look it up in a dictionary - it's to do with the people who were against the break up of established orders of christian churches.
