I'm translating this Type O Negative's song to portuguese and I'd like to know a better meaning to this, so if anyone can help me I'd be glad!

I think it is something about pirates but I'd like to know an opinion from people whose native language is english.

I find it unnatural to say "torch", to me that's the heated thing.

I have to write a piece that talks about a flashlight for a mainly British audience. Should I force myself to say "torch" or is flashlight good enough?

I couldn't find these words in my Encarta dictionary, Can you help me?

Culture hearth, commercial agriculture, postcolonial, and labor intensive.

Do you also know antoynms/synonyms for these words, and what would the antonym be for chokepoint?

Thanks.
