Whether it is a wartime decision or peace time decision, or during daytime or night time, Can a military convoy stop anywhere when its starts travelling from its origin to destination point?

Yes. When I was in Iraq, we would occasionaly stop to kill a few bad guys.

yes but not the best idea unless you have designated danger ahead.
