Is there a specific name? Or is "baby eagle" the only term available?

Based on your answers, I checked the Merriam-Webster online dictionary. Here's what I found:
eaglet : a young eagle
egret: Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Old Occitan *aigreta, of Germanic origin; akin to Old High German heigaro heron
: any of various herons that bear long plumes during the breeding season (and it depicts an image of a bird that is definitely not an eagle. An eagle is not a heron).

Hello,
The right name is an Eaglet, but I suppose you could get away with referring to them as Chicks, that's what Sir David Attenborough called them, from up a tree in America, when the parent Eagle was delivering a large fish to the nest for the "chicks to breakfast on" But Eaglet is the right name for a young Eagle........
