One of those age old questions on what is difference between:
Program and Programme
Practise and Practice
Licence and License

Get all three correct to get the 10 points. Well, convince me you have all three correct, as I wouldn't ask if I knew!

Tiebreaker: if you can come up with similar words/examples you might get the 10 points.

I enjoy playing Scrabble but my dictionary is over ten years old and as such out of date and my vocabulary is somewhat limited! I can't afford to buy the Official Scrabble Players dictionary. Is there a word list (pref. UK) available anywhere online that I can browse/download for FREE?

this is for people with open minds- i know there have been a lot of questions asked regarding this book, but i was just wondering for those who haven't completely disregerded it as fictional, what parts of the book you find most interesting, and even possibly true?

This is a weird question but - what do you call the sound when the phone beeps? I have a story to write and I planned for it to begin like - beep, beep or however the phone sounds when you call a person and are waiting for the phone to be picked up. What should I write there? Peep, peep, ring ring, or what?

Imagine a classroom environment:
Now one says,
"Stephen is standing outside the class as he didnot bring the leave letter for his yesterday's absence"

The situation is that Stephen (for example only) was absent for the class yesterday & he is standing outside the classroom because he didnot bring the leave letter.

Now is that sentence right? is the usage of the word "absence" right?

Can u reframe the same sentence without changing the meaning.
