I work at a daycare with 16 two year olds. 11 boys and 5 girls. There are 8 out of these 16 that are bad children. When I say bad I mean hitting, kicking, biting, pinching, pulling out hair, you name it, they do it. I am so stressed with these children that I do not know what to do. I cry everyday when I get home and then I can not deal with my own children because I am tired of disciplining for the whole day. There are 2 out of 16 kids that can say words. The rest are still baby talking, grunts and hitting stuff to get what they want. They don't understand what I say and I don't understand what they say. I am so frustrated and I don't know how to deal with them. They go crazy just walking down the hall. Our director seems to not care and she only has me and one other teacher in there to deal with these children. That is not enough! They walk all over us!! HELP!

Well I started a new group and I wanted to know if any one wanted to join. It is only for people who watch, have, or take care of Pre School and Kindergarden children.

My son who just turned 3 yrs. in Aug, could put together sounds at 2 1/2. So far I haven't really had to sit down with him to teach him much. He's learned it by watching and listening. He just started preschool on his 3rd birthday. I practice reading with him regularly; what else should I do to facilitate him?

...academics or social skills?
Personally, I lean towards social skills. They will have time to learn letters and numbers when they reach kindergarten. What do y'all think?

Our son is 3years and 8months old and we have been told that he has sensory difficulties. He also has speech and language delay. We are currently waiting to have him assessed. We have been told that he will need to see an occupational therapist also to help him with his problems. Does anyone know anything that could help us understand a little more about sensory problems?
