I am in a Masters of Education program and a teacher was talking about her student and said w/disgust "this big black kid, ran up to me and asked me to grade his paper"

okaii now i have your attention..lol....so i made a transfer to go to a new school...but they are still checking if there is room...my school gets out at 4:30 from 7:30am...the other school is from 7:20-1:30..i really want to go to the new school..but im really rally worried i wont make friends and iam worried i wont catch up....if this has happened to any of you...can you please tell me if you had alot of work to do to catch up?

I just read a news story about Galladet University being shut down by the students. They do not like the new President Jane Fernandes. The school is for the blind & the students say Ms. Fernandes is not blind enough because even though she was blind from birth she did not learn American Sign Langauge until she was 23. She will not take office until Jan.07. Some of the teachers are with the students protesting.Who runs the school, The ones who pay the bills or the ones who are there to learn.

i have a book report due tomorrow, and 10 hrs to work on it, possibly 11. i still haven't finished the book, and there are 366 pgs in it, and i am only on pg 53. do u think i will have time to finish reading it, and finish the report. i also have other hw too. i was bored, that is y i asked this question, and i am a bit of a procrastinator as u can tell.

Teachers are learning to use hand guns. I think we can come up with something better than fighting violence with more violence. I have a little one in school and would not know what to do if he found a gun in the teacher desk or something. We hear about kids shooting each other because they found mommy or daddy's gun at home. I feel that it is a bad idea allowing teachers to bring a gun to school for protection.
