Business Marketing and Advertisment..?

Question

With a B A in Business w/ concentration on Marketing and Ad, what kind of jobs could I hope to get right out of college? How about three to five years after graduating?

What about a B A for advertising more on the artistic side?

The best thing you could do is go to an advertising agency for a couple of years. This will give you the credentials to write your ticket 3-5 years down the line. Do whatever you have to to get into the agency -- intern, receptionist, etc. People will see your hard work and give you a break.

With 3-5 years experience, you could be a part of a Creative Team at an agency, or you could be an Account Executive and manage the client side. Or, you could jump over to the corporate side and become a marketing manager for a product or service.

Be forewarned that people with your credentials usually end up in business to business sales, though.
