i'm from jamaica,i'm going to start high school 2morrow,i'm new,how should i introduce myself,or what am i suppose to do?? please help!!

I'm black ( you need to know that to understand) and last year I moved from texas( witch i fit in fine) to new city and state (memohis TN) . My folks put me in a private school but since we are new here we did not know that it was a school that they send public school bad kids. so the whole time they picked at me for speaking clealy and being smart. I have nothing aganist people in the gutter because a i know that i could be there too but i'm not, sould I be faulted for it. So it got so bad that a kid brought a knife to school (long story).But now im going to a public school in the country and is there any thing i need to know to stay out of trouble and make friends while still being myselft. This is not a test so you dont have to correct me.

I was wondering, if you were able to choose. Would you rather go to an online school, or an ACTUAL high school, which would you choose and why. I did online school for my freshman year and I'm not sure if I want go online this year, or actually GO to the high school. I get straight A's online (which I'm almost positive I wouldn't do if I WENT to school), but I have no social life what-so-ever. And I have severe social anxiety, so far untreated. If you were in my position, which one would you choose and why?
