Don't trust online tests, they suck. They told me mine was about 178 when it is more like 150-160ish.
And now I think of it, IQ tests SUCK! They should have a very good approximation of a sample mean of 100, with a standard deviation of ten, but is that what they are? NOOOOOOO! They have not been standardised in ages.
Which means above 100 IQ does not mean that much any more, and now I think about it:
The entire test is reification bullshit in my opinion - it does not measure your intelligence, just your ability to take the test. Sheesh.
And no, I am not complaining because I got a low score, like I said, properly about 150-160 (can't remember exactly) but on one of those damn internet tests, 178. Funny the things you remember and the things you don't.
Edit: The people above me are lying their behinds off, there should be what percentage of the population getting about seven standard deviations from the mean? Even in a biased test? (Take IQ as distributed along a normal curve - though when standardised, you have to take brain injury rates into account)
And finally, 150-160 is enough for you to be pretty damn smart - my university enrolment is not exactly common. :)

Online test is fairly inaccurate.
Reasons behind this is:
1. The questions is not suited to the age
2. The "general knowledge" part is always a general knowledge in the area of living of the test maker.
3. The "language" part is just nonsense for non-Native Speaker of the language the test is written for. However good a non-native is in the language, non-native won't get a fair result for the "language" part in an online IQ test.
4. Even a formal IQ test is somtimes doubted to be actually able to measure a person's intelligence, how could an online IQ test able to measure it? As we know, some people that is actually smart may get low IQ, and some idiots may get high IQ

Last time I took it it was almost 4 years ago when I was in highschool and I got 162 on it. But I didn't go straight to college because I went to get a job so I don't really know whether it is the same or it has changed.

Mine is 158. I was tested twice; in a psychology course I took. I scored the same twice so the test must be pretty accurate.

The last I.Q. test I took resulted in an I.Q. rating of 148. I find that it is hit n' miss, depending on time of day, frame of mind, nutrition, stress, yadda yadda. I wish they had a I.Q. test for what is in one's heart.
Did you know that you can tell (almost 100% of the time) whether someone is worth your time or not, by the way he/she treats their animals? Or your animals...trust the animal, and go with their instincts if you cannot trust your own.
