affect - to have an influence on someone or something, or to cause them to change
the divorce affected her life

affect can also be used as pretend
she affected an accent

effect - the result of a particular influence
the leak had a disastrous effect on the environment

effect as in use
the new law will become effective next month

effect as in achieve
the new part will try to effect the change...

i can effect many changes in the present day education system if given a chance

effect is a noun.
I'll give some examples:
