A conventional camera uses film, whereas a digital camera does not. All images on a digital camera are stored digitally onto a digital memory card.
A digital camera offers more flexibility in the long run as you can view the picture you have taken straight away on the LCD screen. Whereas a conventional film camera you have to have the pictures developed before you can see the result.
Also, with a digital camera you can just delete the pics you dont want or dont like & just print the ones you do want. This saves you loads of money in the long run, but the only drawback being a decent digital camera is not cheap. You can pick up a decent digital camera, an 8 megapixel for around $500.
Hope that helps you out.

Conventional cameras are drama w/the filma nd the processing and having to pay for crappy picutes.

Digital cameras are sweet. You can see the pic after you take it...save it or delete it right then and no payment for processing crappy pics....Pics are downloadable on your computer and then you can photoshop 'em to make em better and then send em on!
