Please help me solve one of high school's greatest mysteries for thousands of boys from the 70's and 80's. At least here in the Buffalo NY area, in public high school, when boys reached the 7th grade and higher, we HAD to take swim class in the nude. Only the boys, not the girls. WHY?!!! Was there some sort of state mandated scientific/medical reason for this. For example, they needed to see if we were reaching puberty or not (???). PLease explain. No matter who I inquire with, it seems like it's all hush-hush, no asking.

The interest has vast amounts of information. Someone can become a PRO at any topic within minutes these days...so, why do traditional (slower, outdated) forms of teaching still exist?
