Well we know that the first wave of People to enter Australia came sometime between 70 & 80,000 years ago. They started traveling from around the area North of Middle East along the coast of India & the Indoneasian Archapelago to Australia. The genetically same group of People also made it into America. Eventually they were pushed further south to the end of Sth America by the next wave of Asian Peoples, eventually they became the Indians.

So in order to to that amount of traveling they would have started off in the order of 100 To 120,000 years ago.

As to when Humans gained reasonable cognitive reasoning would push that figure back another 100,000 years. So at a guess I would say Humans as we know them, at a guess, would be be about 250,000 years old. Although in our present form, I would put a figure of around 500,000 years. I would push that figure back to about 2 million years as a physical form. Give or take a bit.

God botherers say 6000 years, but even Jericho has been identified as older than that by Christian Archaeologists. Jericho has been around for 10,000 years as a settled City and even longer as a settlement.
